Over the years I had photographed Lindsey Graham dozens of times during campaign speeches in Iowa. For a long time he was a conservative, but decent politician and a good friend to the late John McCain.

As MAGA started taking hold of republican politics, it appears that he changed his ways as a form of political survival. I’m curious if McCain had survived what he would have thought of his longtime friend.

My personal memory was one of a man who would be gentle-spoken during speeches, until the very end where he would get fiery in to leave the crowd cheering. Those last few moments were all that was needed for me to grab good shots of the senator.

Another from my first visit to the tulip fields. I was surprised that some Dutches were actually walking and posing in the rows, while an immigrant (me) knew enough to stay along the edges. If you visit a tulip field, do not disrespect the farmers by walking in the rows.

Finally able to make it out to the fields yesterday. It’s still early in the tulip season, but if the sun is out, you have to try to make the most of it. This location is almost two hours away by public transport, but it is worth it.
