In this class, Yoyo explained the meaning behind the movements of Obatalá and the importance of understanding them in order to represent the Orishas correctly and respectfully.

We are very grateful to have had Yoyo as our guest teacher in Bremen again. As always, it was a beautiful and inspiring experience.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and to everyone who made this training possible. We are already looking forward to the next one!

Every year, Festival Cultura Cubana brings together the best, and we are proud to say: all our maestros are always among the top instructors of the festival! 🏆✨

For us, FCC is our annual tradition, a place of power, and a cultural explosion! 🇨🇺✨ It is a moment of professional recognition for our academy.

What does this mean for us?

🔹 Performing on the big stage: we prepare special shows to share the true spirit of Cuban dance.

🔹 Learning from the best: workshops from top masters help us grow and improve our technique.

🔹 Feeling the unity: nothing brings our academy together like traveling together, partying until morning, and supporting each other backstage.

During our training sessions in Naples, we had an incredible Palo class with .mousl ! 🔥

For those who are just discovering this style: Palo (or Palo Mayombe) is one of the most powerful Afro-Cuban traditions, originating from the Congo. 🥁

Why is Palo a special experience?
• Grounding: All movements go “into the floor”
• Dynamics: shoulders never stop
• Energy: It is a dance of warriors and spirit, where every gesture matters.

During the class, we dived deep into the practice:
• We studied body and shoulder work that creates that “signature” Afro-dynamics.
• We learned to feel the grounding and rhythm
• We worked on expression to reveal the individuality of every dancer.

It was a great experience that energized the whole ICCD team! ⚡️
