Dear Friends,
Being born in 1964, I grew up during the cold war, with the protests against nuclear bombs when I was at secondary school, and the fall of the Berlin Wall when I was a student at the university. Perhaps naive, I became convinced to be part of a first generation to grow old without being pulled into a (global) European war..
Shocking does not to describe enough what is happening in Ukraine.
As a digital health entrepreneur, the first thing that came to my mind, when I was approached by the foundation “Ukrainians in the Netherlands” to collect medical supplies, is to contact my (medical) network.
PLEASE DELIVER SUPPORT IN COLLECTING THE MEDICAL SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE, See the list below for most needed items.
Lets do this together,
Ronald Nanninga
CEO VirtualMedSchool
The support call I received:
“Russian war against Ukraine became a shock to all of us. We can not just scroll through the news and hope that this nightmare will be over soon. That is why we (Ukrainians in the Netherland) mobilise all our resources (people, money, networks) to help people in Ukraine to survive.
During the war, medical support is one of the most vital ones. And many of the medical items that are urgently needed in Ukraine we can not just buy in a regular pharmacy. That is why we are reaching you.”
See the list of needs on this website http://helpukraine.center/en
The collection hubs are here: https://tinyurl.com/colllectionpoints
For more information, you can contact the curator of the "medical group" Yulia Demura +31 6 86266485. Or via the official website https://www.ukrainians.nl/language/nl/ or email [email protected] of the foundation.”
NB The foundation “Ukrainians in the Netherlands” is a Dutch NGO focused on the local Ukrainian diaspora.

Playful learning helps students to learn valuable skills such as persistence, collaboration, experimenting, and failure. It stimulates their intrinsic motivation, their flow, and a mindset in which they take more risks, which can increase their self-esteem and make them more resilient.
For their blog series about playful learning, Yentl Croese and Emma Wiersma from Centre for Innovation will share some of the best practices of playful learning that teachers outside of Leiden University have developed, like VirtualMedSchool with the abcdeSIM Serious Game.
