🚀 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The UNIHUBS Local Brokerage Event at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) brought together students, Higher Education Institutions, Digital Innovation Hubs, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners to explore new pathways for collaboration, innovation, and employability.

Led by Prof. Charles Akomea Bonsu, the event featured presentations from Dr. Wilson Kwaku Nimsaah on Action Learning in the UNIHUBS Project and Mr. Maxwell Amponsah of HapaSpace Innovation Hub, who shared how innovation hubs help transform classroom knowledge into practical skills and real-world impact.

From networking and mentorship to internships and innovation challenges, the event created meaningful connections that will help prepare students for the digital economy.

Together, we're building stronger partnerships that empower future-ready graduates across Africa.

🚀 The Pilot Implementation of the UNIHUBS Joint Online Course is officially underway!

Students from partner universities across Ghana, Kenya, and Tanzania are now participating in an international learning experience designed to equip them with practical, future-ready skills for the digital economy.

The pilot brings together students from:
🇬🇭 Kumasi Technical University (KsTU)
🇬🇭 Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST)
🇬🇭 University of Mines and Technology (UMAT)
🇰🇪 Kibabii University (KIBU)
🇰🇪 University of Nairobi C4DLab
🇹🇿 Iringa University College
🇹🇿 Mbeya University of Science & Technology (MUST)

Through hands-on learning in digital innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, digital marketing, and professional communication, the course is helping bridge the gap between higher education and the digital innovation labour market.

This pilot marks an exciting milestone as the UNIHUBS consortium tests and refines the Joint Online Course to ensure it is practical, relevant, and impactful for students, educators, innovation hubs, and industry.

Big step forward for UNIHUBS 🚀

Following a successful capacity building programme and partners’ meeting in Nairobi, the project is now moving into its implementation phase.

Partners from across Africa and Europe are working together to adapt and apply the UNIHUBS framework within their universities, strengthening innovation, improving employability, and building stronger links between academia and industry.
