This is a translational research institution (a.k.a. De Haar Research Foundation) with research focuses on the bench-to-bedside studies in interventional cardiovascular biomedicine, biomedical engineering, and nanomedicine. The Company provides (1) an outsourcing support of the bench studies, (2) a full service of the Cardiovascular Contract Research Organization with the outsourcing involvement of the experts in the field of the interest, (3) a professional Core Laboratory with a strong expertise and a leading validated internationally-recognized software in QCA (quantitative coronary angiography), IVUS (intravascular ultrasound), OCT (optical coherence tomography), and CT (computed tomography) including a broad social and academic networking. The main objective of the company is to drive the international research collaboration developing and promoting innovations with the final target to conquer atherosclerosis, vascular, myocardial and structural disorders, and therefore dramatically reduce cardiovascular mortality across the globe.

The structure of DHRF includes three labs:

1) J.A. Cramer K. Translational Research Lab for Cardiovascular Nanomedicine (Cramer Lab) with a focus on translational research in biomedical engineering, nanomedicine and regression of atherosclerosis

2) L. da Vinci Cardiovascular Imaging Lab (Da Vinci Lab) is a sort of the CoreLab with the expert analysis of both invasive and non-invasive (interventional/ intravascular) techniques in cardiology
