So ask yourself, what's yours?

Pose the question: “what are the characteristics of an efficient department?” and the answers will vary from effective team communication, few interruptions, clear expectations, pleasant collaborations and a sense of progression. But ensuring all of these come together as a whole is a challenge. Even more so when you’re facing other responsibilities on top of that. The question then is to find a way to keep your department running smoothly, without costing you an arm and a leg. One of the answers in this case is the Stand-up method.

Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events are two of the most popular Lean techniques around. But did you know that these two techniques also work very well together?

How can 5S help you improve modern workplace management?

Read this short article and find out 😉 https://tpc.education/en/blog/workplace-management-and-5s/

5S is often seen as a method for organizing a physical workspace, but in truth there is more to this method than people think. Flexibility and incremental improvement are at the heart of the 5S Lean method, which can be used to help you develop and incrementally improve your own workspace management system.

What is the 5S method?

One of our most popular online courses is the Lean 5S training, in which you can learn everything about the Lean 5S workplace management method.

Interestingly enough, despite being one of the most popular courses, it is also one of the less well-known subjects. This might have something to do with the 2013 iPhone model having stolen much of its thunder, or just that the name itself is relatively abstract and doesn’t offer much explanation.

Some time ago, we wrote an article to address the question in this post title. Partly to help visitors better navigate our courses, partly to clarify a topic that deserves more love.

If you’re interested in 5S or workplace management in general, be sure to give it a read! 👉 https://tpc.education/en/blog/the-5s-method/

We have always intended to be an international company. Sharing knowledge and skills is the most fun when you can do it with as broad a public as possible. And the last six months we’ve made big steps in expanding our audience. Take a look at the map below to see the countries in which we have had new enrolments this year.

We’re looking forward to the next half of 2021 and hope to conquer the rest of that world map soon enough! 🌎 🌍 🌏

We are back again to share the feedback of a happy customer. Sometimes we're so flattered we just have to share it 😀. This time we received praise for our Lean Six Sigma expert Michel Doppert, GE Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

"It's a good course, I love the teacher, how he explains and how the videos are really short and explicit, perfect to understand all the information in a few minutes."

Michel is a GE-certified Master Black Belt with over 25 years of experience in Continuous Improvement ✔️. He has trained and coached hundreds of Lean Six Sigma professionals worldwide. He is active as director and lead instructor at The Lean Six Sigma Company UK. And aside from those credentials, he's also an all-around pleasant guy and an absolute delight to work with.

Just like Michel, we always try to improve our processes, for which your feedback is the main driver📈. If you find something on our website or in our courses that could better, please let us know in the comments.

Celebrating happy customers is our favorite topic we to revisit. This time we'd like to think back on Lotus Cars, a British automobile manufacturing company specializing in sports cars, who had the following to say about our online Yellow Belt course:

"Well structured and easy to follow. Provided a solid foundation of lean six sigma principles."

We were very happy to hear about this, as having concise and well-structured course content is one of our main pillars of quality. The Yellow Belt in particular was developed with one goal in mind: teaching the foundations of the Lean Six Sigma methodology in a clear and fun way, without draining much time. And if we have to believe our reviews (which we do!), it appears we've more than accomplished that!

Recently we released two follow-up courses to the Yellow Belt, namely the DMAIC and Poka Yoke courses. The former teaches the robust and thorough project method that often forms the spine of Lean Six Sigma, whereas the latter is a short course that focuses on a simple yet vital error-proofing and prevention tool.

Want to stay up to date on our release schedule? Subscribe to the newsletter and we will send you an overview tomorrow!

If the people at Heineken are happy with your online courses, you know you're doing something right. Which is a source of both great pride and relief to us. We even got permission to share their comments and endorsements.

For example, a comment made on our Basic Statistics for Six Sigma course: "Great training, very good and simple examples. I haven’t been confronted with this theory for like 20 years, but it all came back quite easily."

Feedback is the fuel for our creative engine and even the harshest critiques help us practice what we preach: Continuous Improvement and productivity for all.

To learn more, take a look at our website; it's full of reviews, great articles and most importantly, great courses.

Or just watch the following video to see how we deal with customer feedback 😉

Hello there! After a lot of hard work our online Kanban course is now available on our website!

Kanban is a Lean technique that you can use to limit your inventory, prevent overproduction and increase the efficiency of all your processes. It does this all by facilitating the ‘Pull’ principle, which is the secret key to embedding customer focus into every facet of your production and work scheduling.

In this online course you will learn how to use Kanban, how it is applied in various industries and even how it relates to other popular methodologies and techniques such as Agile Scrum, improvement boards and daily stand-ups. At the end of this course you will understand the full scope of the Kanban concept and will be able to apply it in virtually every situation you can think of.

If Lean, productivity and customer focus are what drive you, then this is one course you can’t miss out on!
