5S is often seen as a method for organizing a physical workspace, but in truth there is more to this method than people think. Flexibility and incremental improvement are at the heart of the 5S Lean method, which can be used to help you develop and incrementally improve your own workspace management system.

What is the 5S method?

One of our most popular online courses is the Lean 5S training, in which you can learn everything about the Lean 5S workplace management method.

Interestingly enough, despite being one of the most popular courses, it is also one of the less well-known subjects. This might have something to do with the 2013 iPhone model having stolen much of its thunder, or just that the name itself is relatively abstract and doesn’t offer much explanation.
