Congratulations to the class of 2021! 🎉This year we celebrated in a hybrid format with a commencement address from Prof. Johan Mackenbach, with the message to focus on the 'big picture' in the reasons for the rise and fall of disease. We wish all of our graduates the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! Today we celebrate that women and girls play a critical role in science and technology and that their participation worldwide should be strengthened.
What better way to start the new year than with destressing? Chronic stress and burnout are an increasing problem among students. The DESTRESS study investigates this issue and offers resilience training, free of charge, with a duration of 8 weeks.

Who is the prettiest of them all? It was a close call! But, this tree was the winner in the NIHES Christmas event for students and teachers. What a stunner it is, reflecting the essence of NIHES. We enjoyed a nice presentation and had a good laugh when we did the Jerusalema challenge, all the while trying to show off our best moves simultaneously in Zoom.
