As part of the RBS Honours Programme, our students recently visited Brussels to gain firsthand insight into European democracy and decision-making. From exploring the European Parliament and the Parlamentarium to engaging in discussions at the House of European History, the visit brought important topics such as democracy, diversity of thought, and European cooperation to life.
Experiences like these help students connect theory to practice, broaden their perspectives, and better understand the international environment in which they will live and work.
A special thank you to Esen Alieva for the insightful tour and valuable explanations throughout the day!

Once a Student Ambassador, always a Student Ambassador ~ by heart and by action🤍
Even while on my exchange journey at the University of Seoul, I am proud to continue representing RBS. More than a university, RBS has been the foundation of who I am today, opening doors to countless opportunities and shaping my growth throughout the years.
It was a privilege to share my RBS experience with UoS students and inspire them to take the leap toward their own exchange journey. No matter where I go, I will always carry a piece of RBS with me. ✨ - Denisa Florentina

75 minutes. 6 teams. 1 real business challenge.
Our Year 3 International Business students from the Organizations & Change specialization put their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test during this year’s O&C Hackathon. Working on a real company case from Energy Floors, students developed ideas and pitched their solutions under pressure.
From collaboration to innovative thinking, it was great to see everyone stepping up to the challenge. All participants received a certificate, and one team walked away with the O&C Hackathon 2026 trophy 🏆
A big shoutout to everyone who took part and made this edition such a success!

The Master in Sustainability Transitions launches in September 2026.
And we are already on a global stage.
We are proud to announce a formal partnership with Map the System, a global systems-thinking competition by the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
From 2026/27, selected STR students participate in Map the System as part of the programme. The global final takes place at Oxford.
Sustainability challenges are not isolated problems. They are interconnected systems. Understanding them, really understanding them, requires exactly the kind of thinking that Map the System demands and STR is built to develop.

On May 4, we remember.
On May 5, we celebrate freedom.
A powerful symbol of that moment is "Verwoeste Stad" by Ossip Zadkine. The sculpture shows a figure with its heart torn out, representing a city that was destroyed, yet rebuilt with resilience.
Today, Rotterdam stands as a place of international connection, diversity and new beginnings.
On these days, we take a moment to reflect on the past and the importance of freedom.
