UW x RSM 24-hour Case Competition Completed!
Over the past week, Case Club members from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University have competed in mixed teams with students from University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business to virtually solve a 24-hour business case on Pernod Ricard; a leading firm producing wine & spirits internationally.
By either waking up extremely early or staying up very late, the students worked past the time zone differences to produce incredible solutions! Yesterday, the 11 teams competed, with three passing on to the final round. Congratulations to the KAMP Consulting Group for winning the finals!
Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. This joint event has given us plenty of insights into case solving from different perspectives, and created new transatlantic friendships!

Should you have any questions about the merger, the future of the Case Society or any changes that will occur, feel free to join. You will be able to ask questions in the chat field. As the Case Club Board Member Application are ongoing, Case Society's Commercial Relations Manager Vincent Jahn has written a testimonial to shed light on his biggest takeaways from this past year. Visit our website for more information: rsmstarcaseclub.nl
"I am Vincent and for the last year I have had the pleasure of being the Commercial Relations Manager of the RSM Case Society. My biggest takeaway from the last year is to have learnt the power of an effective team. It is amazing what one can accomplish within a couple of months with nothing but a set of super motivated and ambitious individuals who share a passion, such as case solving.
My advice for prospective applicants is to really know what they want to do and what they want to achieve as a board member of this association. Moreover, you should know which specific role plays to your strengths. Ideally, be aware of any weaknesses and how you can overcome them with the role which you are applying for. At last, you should give and receive skills, knowledge, and experience in this amazing year. Finally, know what you like and what you intend to change about this unique and prestigious association, for without a proper vision, we don’t know where you want to lead it.
The utmost important aspect, nonetheless, is your motivation to go above and beyond, because that is exactly what it took for me to get the most out of it and enjoy every single second of it.
Cheers, and good luck with the applications, Vincent"
