Vacancy Junior-Associates De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek
De Brauw, an international law firm based in Amsterdam, offers a unique programme for international junior-associates, called The Brewery. The training consists of a 3,5 year programme for legal graduates with 0-2 years working experience. After 6 months into the training, associates work in one of the Litigation practices for the next 1,5 years, and then switch to one of the Corporate practices for the remaining 1,5 years.

EUR Conference on Positive Obligations and Fundamental Rights (30-31 January 2020, Rotterdam, The Netherlands)
On 30 and 31 January 2020, the Erasmus School of Law is organising an international conference on 'Positive State Obligations concerning Fundamental Rights and "changing the hearts and minds"' in Rotterdam.
The conference will consist of four panels during which eleven international speakers will present their draft papers for the ensuring special issue of Erasmus Law Review. Attendance of the conference is free of charge, however registration is required and possible until 22 January.

Last week, Prof. Jeroen Temperman, the head of the department of International and European Union Law, held his inaugural lecture on the Corporate Religious Freedom and its clash with other rights.
Afgelopen vrijdag sprak prof. Jeroen Temperman, hoogleraar International Law and Religion in Interdisciplinary Context aan Erasmus School of Law, zijn oratie uit, getiteld ‘Corporate Religious Freedom and the Rights of Others: Calibrating Human Rights in Times of Pluralist Dilemmas’. Met het uitspreken van deze oratie heeft hij in het openbaar zijn ambt als hoogleraar aanvaard. In zijn oratie heeft prof. Temperman de vraag centraal gesteld of “corporate religious freedom” onder het internationale recht bestaat. Erasmus School of Law feliciteert hem van harte met het behalen van het professorschap!
