April’s class at Schorem Haarsnijder En Barbier brought together a serious crew with barbers from Argentina, USA, Canada, Korea, Ireland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK. All with that same mindset; put in the work and master the craft.

Guided by Cris and Gui Ouriques, they spent two days breaking down the fundamentals of classic barbering, supported with structure, technique and the discipline behind the haircuts the Schorem crew is known for.

And it shows. Just look at those faces… proud, sharp, and ready to get back to work.

Last year took us straight back to the roots.

Seven times, The Holy Ashtray transformed into a classroom for full immersion, where classic men’s haircuts are lived, breathed, and perfected every single day.

In Rotterdam, we welcomed barbers and hairdressers from all over the world. Young guns and seasoned professionals, all sharing one goal: mastering the timeless men’s cuts Schorem is known for.

Throughout the year, we trained working professionals in the fundamentals that never go out of style: The Vanguard. The Executive Contour. The Boogie. The Flat Top.

Pure technique without shortcuts, taught by professionals who cut these styles daily, inside the barbershop where they were built.

In 2026, The Old School Barber Academy opens its doors once again inside Schorem itself, the birthplace of countless classic men’s haircuts and the home of Reuzel Pomade.

Every family has that one mother-in-law that never dies…

Granny Addams has crawled out of the cellar again, with a flask full of whatever keeps her kicking. At least the Reuzel Pomade Beard Products keep her somewhat presentable… She’s the living proof that a little witchcraft (and good grooming) goes a long way.

We’ve transformed our bearded new kid on the block into the creepiest matriarch you’ll ever meet. Because whether you’re mixing potions or perfecting a fade, it’s all about the right ingredients.
