The fourth seminar of the series took place in Greece, organised by IDEC and IIEK DELTA 360 on 29th April. The attendance was 171 total participants including trainers and teachers. IDEC and IIEK Delta 360 invited teachers and trainers via a campaign.
The aim of the webinar was to introduce the GoGreen project and its possible applications in the VET system and to reflect on our daily impact on the planet.
Presenters (panellists) of the webinar were Kostas Bariamis and Konstantinos Kiousis, members of the GoGreen partnership (from IDEC and IIEK Delta 360 respectively) and Ersi Niaoti who is a project manager and trainer with expertise in Gamification techniques, working for IDEC.

Erasmus+ VET project funded under KA2 Cooperation partnerships 2022-1-NL01-KA220-VET-000089335.
Yet, the third in a row seminar took place within our project at EU level: this time in Maristak Durango (Spain). The seminar was provided to teachers from several VET centres in the Basque Country, which are associated partners to the HETEL association. It was organised by our partner Politeknika Txorierri. The seminar was organised on 22nd April.
During the seminar, participants were introduced to:
- the overall objective of the GO GREEN project
- the importance of green skills and competences
- the effective implementation of apprenticeship schemes to develop green skills
- gamification and mentoring skills.
The participants in the seminar were 22 in total from 16 VET centres in the Basque Country.

πͺπͺπͺThe second national seminar from the series within Go Green project took place on 18th April organized in Sofia, Bulgaria with 20 participants including teachers, principals, educational and VET experts and trainers, and other. During the seminar the materials and results were demonstrated with focus on their further exploitation and implementation in easing the work and efficiency of teaching and developing green skills of the new generation apprentices. πππ

π’π’π’We are happy to announce the start of the series of national seminars with VET teachers to train them on the available GO GREEN materials.
The first one took place on 27th March 2024 organised by the Italian partner CIOFS - FP, in Bologna. The attendance were about 60 people including trainers, directors and employees. CIOFS-FP invited people from all itβs locations situated in the region. Also an external trainer who is responsible for his company's green transition was called in. All participants gave very positive feedback and showed interest for future events like this. π’π’π’

πΏBetween 13th and 15th of November a team of GO GREEN executed the second study visit, this time in Bilbao, hosted by the partner Politeknika Txorierri. It was a real success and we had the opportunity to visit the school and some of their partner companies in order to better understand how VET and work-based learning are organized in their region.
β‘οΈThe main topic on focus was cultivating green skills of students and employees, and respectively the impact and contribution of the GO GREEN results and project as a whole. The visit included meeting with students from Txorierri, visit of the school and its labs, visit to the Basque Technology Park and to one of the energy companies Arteche . π±They all shared their sustainability strategies and good practices with focus on the Sustainable Development Goals as guiding principles and also the relevance and importance of green skills of their teams. This study visit achieved its main purposes to raise awareness about good practices and initiatives offered in EU countries, for the development of green skills of students and on the practices that VET organisations apply for the development of green skills of students, during their apprenticeships. πππ

The study visit in the Netherlands was hosted by Techniek College Rotterdam, in Rotterdam. All partners sent two of their representatives on 6th β 8th June 2023. The visit included the following activities and sessions: Schoolsystem of VET in the Netherlands and stages in VET; visits of start-ups and RDM Training Plant - a public-private project in the port of Rotterdam and successful start-ups with business related to the topics of the project (https://www.rdmtrainingplant.nl/homepage ). The main objective of the study visit was for partners to observe work-based learning and how the Techniek College Rotterdam cultivates green skills in their students.

The kick-off meeting of the project took place in Sofia, Bulgaria on 20th and 21st April 2023. All partners met represented by their project managers who are involved in the project. They got to know each other and set the foundation for smooth and fruitful collaboration in the project. The main aspects that were covered during the meeting were: Project management: Quality assurance and evaluation, Dissemination strategy, goals and activities, Social media campaigns and overall strategy, Financial management; Work package 2 Platform for the acquisition of green skills during work-based learning and Work package 3 Capacity building of VET trainers to support acquisition of Green skills during work-based learning: overview, main tasks and results with specific deadlines and outcomes.
