This year The Notorious IBE 2017 was a special one, I finally got to organize a Health & Dance Forum "Go See The Doctor" at this international breakdance event as a project of Tawatha Presents working together with Sachi Rihal, in which we invited dancing health care providers to talk with each other about how to uplift the health awareness among dancers.
Thanks to Aline Soyer presenting Project Breakalign, Björn Tsie Chin Jong of Quality of Motion, B(Sci)Med Pauline Styles, B(Sci)Med Jermaine Colli, physiotherapists Lerøy Themen & Megulver Edhardt for sharing all these different perspectives as dancers and also health specialists.
We talked about the broad aspect of health behavior of dancers, topics like creating new health trends, raising body awareness and providing low-threshold health prevention & medical care specially for dancers at events and in dance schools.
I want to thank Tyrone Van der Meer for making this meeting possible at such an honored international dance event, I also want to thank the media team Armando Ello Fotografie en Video & Tony Hooiveld for capturing the whole session with video & photos and Lionel Douglas for the cool art & cartoons !!
I definitely believe we can positively influence the health awareness among dancers & I see a lot of potential in collaborations and projects to build a healthy environment,

It was amazing to have this man back in the Netherlands!! It was an honor to organize his workshop, since he built a big part of the Dutch popping scene and did teach me soo much about this culture

And Again!! An Amazing Tawatha Presents' Workshop by Hurrikane! I would like to give a big shout out to everyone who showed up!! I'm soo happy about the open vibes we created together, where everyone could be themselves & share their personal growth with each other. DANCE, brings people together in a healthy environment of joy and that is exactly what this workshop was like! Happy that Hurrikane brought some New York City vibes to the Netherlands, with freedom & character expression through dance. A big big big thanks to Hurrikane and up to the next, I'll keep you updated about more workshops soon ^^

Tawatha Presents "Hurrikane" Freestyle Workshop
Tawatha Presents a FREESTYLE workshop by the crazy Hurrikane FRIDAY 10th of MARCH 7-10pm in Rotterdam!! He is known as a versatile dancer, funky locker, hiphop monster, all-styles master, that's why he will teach you how to FREESTYLE ;) This Hurrikane is coming all the way from New York City to Rotterdam, to blow down everything and everyone with his dance & teaching skills. This workshop will help through creation in dance with different methods and concepts, with tools for how to train yourself, using music & different timing. Interesting right?? So don't miss this chance!!

Woowww... 😱😱 yesterday was such an amazing workshop!! A really really big thanks to Damon Frost & everybody who was there and was eager to learn ! Also shout out to Denis Inghelbrecht for organizing his NE/BE trip with me 🤗 We had fun during all the brain breakers, practising musicality, (poly)rhythms, body isolations, hitting drills, groove & waving techniques, can you imagine how much detailed information he gave us☝☝☝ Hope you all had a great one guys !!
