When planning your endurance training sessions recovery is key ๐. Going hard every day with Interval running and Hyrox circuits is almost guaranteed to make you feel completely burned out, low on energy.
Your aerobic conditioning should always be the foundation for your Hyrox training and the hard sessions are the other 20-30%, depending on your fitness level and age. Sustaining an aerobic condition strengthens your cardiovascular system, lowers resting heart rates, and increases overall endurance.
My clients sometimes worry because they think they arenโt doing enough but building the foundation is where we start.
Especially being an older athlete, training any other way is not sustainable ๐
This session is longer but itโs at low intensity so I feel like I could be there doing this for hours (donโt do that! ๐)
My go to workout at 60-65% of max heart rate.

If you donโt know your heart rate zones just ask yourself if you could hold a conversation rather easily if someone would be there talking to you. (Always better to know your heart rate zones if you can)
Also adjust to your level! You can do 3K/3K/3K or change RowErg for the indoor bike. Itโs all good ๐ซถ

I knew it wasnโt possible for me to thank everyone individually for the many birthday wishes that I got so I decided to do it with this post with random things that I like ๐ค๐๐ผ

Already on the road towards 51 and so far so good. Since I think putting your goals out there can be helpful I will share some goals for this year with you:
1. Run a 46 min 10K, currently at 48 min.
2. Win another Hyrox flag, ambitious and might dependon availability of tickets ๐ค๐
3. Grow my online coaching business & maintain in person coaching
4. Renovate my apartment ๐ฉโ๐จ
