The 2022 LDE Centre Governance of migration and Diversity conference was a success!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩

✨An inspiring event that brought together amazing researchers, activists, students, and a people who participated and exchanged ideas about the challenges and opportunities of inclusive governance in superdiverse cities🌎.

✨We discussed relevant topics such as Migrant workers in the Netherlands, Dilemmas of Diversity, Making sense of decolonial, postcolonial and anti-imperial migration studies, The political economy of intra-EU mobility and port City Futures, among others!

The LDE GMD Centre is pleased to announce its 2022 Conference, on the 16th of May at the Beeld en Geluid Den Haag (Media Museum, the Hague). This in-person event will have keynotes from Jenny Phillimore (University of Birmingham) and Mpanzu Bamenga (Incleaders). Moderation will be by Nadia Bouras, PhD (Leiden University).

This conference will highlight how new societal realities of superdiversity relate to the challenges and opportunities of inclusive governance.

We are the Student Board of the MSc in Governance of Migration and Diversity (Class of 2021-2022), which is a joint master's programme as a collaboration between the universities of Delft, Leiden, Erasmus Rotterdam and ISS Hague.
The student board functions as the intermediary between GMD students and staff in a sounding capacity as well as a platform to organize events and outreach activities in close interaction with the LDE centre GMD. This year it consists of ten (10) students.
