That's the term for a new approach to research, development and innovation activities. It emphasizes co-responsibility for research and innovation in a much broader way than ever before. RRI projects involve not only researchers but also a wide range of other people and institutions involved in or potentially affected by research and innovation. This approach emphasizes ethical and socially relevant values such as welfare, justice, equality, security, sustainability, accountability, and democracy.
Our JU4H project is an implementation of RRI's ideas on health and a better future for all of us.

شوعلاقة العلم بالمواطنة الديمقراطية؟
من سنة وتماما بمثل هذا اليوم، قمت بنشر أول فيديو علمي Mandeeli منديلي بعنوان "لماذا نثق بالبحث العلمي؟".
بالنسبة للكثيرين منكم ، كان هذا الفيديو غير متوقع؛ إنو شو علاقة هذا الموضوع بالوافدين الجدد والمجتمعات الحاضنة؟
أحد الركائز الأساسية لمنديلي هو "محو الأمية العلمية والتواصل الجدير بالثقة". هدفنا هو مساعدة مشاهدينا على تطوير كفاءاتهم في مجال المواطنة الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان. لأنو الكفاءات الصحيحة ومحو الأمية ضرورية لبناء جسور متينة بن أفراد المجتمع ولخلق عقلية جديدة بتساعد المواطنين من خلفيات مختلفة على إيجاد "أرضية مشتركة" مع بعضهم البعض وبناء جسور بين الثقافات.
What has science to do with democratic citizenship?
Exactly one year ago, I posted my first Mandeeli science video "why do we trust science?".
For many of you, this was a confusion. What has this topic to do with newcomers and inclusive societies?
One of the main pillars of Mandeeli is "science literacy and responsible communication". Our aim is to help our viewers develop competences for democratic citizenship and human rights. We believe that the right competences and literacy are needed to build bridges and create a new mindset that helps citizens from different backgrounds to find a “common ground” with each other and build a bridge between cultures.
