Today we decided to learn some maths. With indi’s onboard color sensor, young learners can communicate instructions to indi by placing color tiles on the floor that tell it what to do and where to go (and how fast!).

We worked on circuits and microcontrollers.

Microcontrollers are used in automatically controlled products and devices, such as automobile engine control systems, implantable medical devices, remote controls, office machines, appliances, power tools, toys and other embedded systems.
It sounds difficult to understand; but we just make it fun!!
Our next class is already planned and we will be coding our microbits to play games.

This week because everything is about Halloween 🎃 we switched into STEAM mood!!
The children learned to use some electrical tools, circuits, tiny motors, and used their imagination and creativity!!
Everyone had lots of fun with these Robotic-Bugs.

Today’s lesson has showed the children how to use a new application called “Path”. Path will introduce children to sequence, events, and sensors through its simple program.
They have drawn , dragged, and dropped with this interface.
The children will plan, program, and execute Dash’s adventures while they learn the basic concepts of computational thinking.
While children are learning how to use this application they will be taught:

* Algorithm design
* Command sequences
* Control flow
* Sensors and Events
* Problem-solving
Some of them tried to programmed the robots while laying down on the floor 😀

This week Class our students had an STEAM activity with Wonder Workshop and LEGO, they used their creativity and imagination. Who said Coding can’t be fun?

Step counter was a super fun project at Coding Robotics class Tech4kids Nederland.

The children learned to code their Micro:bit using variables.

A step counter is also known as a pedometer. Each shake event increments a counter variable. The step count is displayed on the LEDs.
We attached the Microbit to our shoes and went outdoors to tested it.

It can also be attached to your wrist.

Today at Coding class; we’ve got creative with Micro:bit
This tiny device lets children discover that what they do on-paper, and code on screen has a direct impact on the micro:bit hardware in their hand - they quickly learn that they can control the design and application of technology in their world.

Through the micro:bit, children are encouraged to explore their ideas while using real code and real computational thinking - as a tool, it makes coding fun.

Robotics Beginners
After school activities

Today we introduced our tiniest robot Ozobot; an smart robot that can follow lines or roam around freely, detect colors, and can be programmed using visual codes. Our students students learned hands-on about robotics, math and programming. Ozobot teaches them in a fun way so they learn while being engaged and playing.

Using markers and paper, students will progress through a series of challenges that explore how to use simple colour codes to program a small robot to respond in a variety of ways.

Tech4kids Nederland introduced to our students.

Cozmo is a robot friend who loves to have fun. Thanks to AI, he recognise you and remembers your name. He even evolves the more you hang out. Watch him show off for the dog or switch to Explorer Mode and see what he sees. You can guide Cozmo, prompt him to greet people and pets, and use his lift to move Power Cubes.

This year Tech4kids Nederland is bringing lots of fun, today we introduced Sphero Indi to our new students.
This tiny robot its the most basic level of coding, a problem solving and pattern recognition. Sphero indi teaches both—no screen required. Instead, kids as young as 4 use different-colored durable tiles to move a robotic car from point A to point B.
Sphero Indi was one of the 100 best inventions of 2021.
Our students had lots of fun!!

One of our students brought his own robot to show it to the class.
We also introduced Sphero and Cozmo to the kids.
It was 45 min of class and the rest of the time we just enjoyed some treats and the kids received a certificate from Tech4kids Nederland
Such a pleasure to meet this fantastic group of committed, smart, curious, funny boys and girls.
