Training in Systemic Work โ the foundation of systems thinking
Systemic work is a powerful approach that provides insight into the invisible dynamics within families, teams, and organizations. This way of working was developed by Bert Hellinger and has further evolved in the Netherlands into a widely applied professional field.
In this training, you will learn to think and act systemically in your own practice. You will develop the ability to look beyond observable behaviour and recognize the underlying patterns and relationships within systems.
What is systemic work?
Everyone is part of multiple systems, such as a family, a team, or an organization. Within these systems, often unconscious patterns, loyalties, and orders influence behaviour, choices, and collaboration.
Systemic work helps to make these dynamics visible. Problems are not seen solely as individual issues, but as signals of something happening in the larger whole.
What will you learn in this training?
During the training, you will develop both insight and practical skills:
Reading systemic information
Get to know systemic principals and dynamics
recognizing recurring patterns and dynamics as part of the system that is running
applying systemic interventions in conversations
asking focused, insightful questions
adopting a phenomenological, non-judgmental attitude
You will also work with your own cases, allowing you to directly apply what you learn in your daily practice.
Approach: learning through experience and sharp observation
In this training, constellations are used as an illustrative and experiential tool. They make systemic dynamics visible and tangible, helping you to recognize them more easily in your own work.
Important: you are not trained to facilitate constellations. The focus is on developing systemic awareness and applying systemic interventions in conversations and guidance.
An important instrument in this training is working with the precise and impactful questions of Siets Bakker. These questions help you get to the core quickly and create movement in situations that seem stuck. You will learn how to use these questions at the right moment and with the right intention.

Systemic work in the Netherlands
The Netherlands has played an important role in the development and professionalization of systemic work, partly through organizations such as the Bert Hellinger Institute Nederland. Today, it is widely applied in coaching, therapy, and organizational development.

Marko Vlaming is a systemic educator with experience, trained by several different people in the field. Last year, he upgraded his systemic skills and knowledge at the Bert Hellinger Institute in the Netherlands
