Empowering the Young to learn, anytime, anyplace, with anybody, through any device on futures most r The OPEDUCA Project is a cooperative and societal effort.

The OPEDUCA Project represents the regional cooperation of schools, industry, science and government aimed at the creation of most optimal learning opportunities for youngsters. Each OPEDUCA ("Open Educational Area") directly links with other regions around the globe. Pupils and Students learning in OPEDUCA, but also teachers, parents, employees in industry and government, are involved in learning about future relevant themes (such as Food, Health Care, Water and Energy); in their own region and connected as a global learning space. Thus contribution to a more sustainable world by gaining more relevant knowledge and adopting skills and competences needed to apply such knowledge.

At Maastricht University–ICIS we kicked off the new interdisciplinary course on Climate Change, welcoming Students from various origins and a range of countries, merging fields of science in order to address, understand and learn to act where it comes to one of the most pressing and fascinating challenges mankind faces. A fantastic group of University Students from Germany, Colombia, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Taiwan, Lithuania, Moldova and UK had a further introduction in The OPEDUCA Project at the Abby of Rolduc February 9th 2018, following a lecture at Maastricht University ICIS a few weeks earlier.
Focussing on 'OPEDUCA Flight for Knowledge' and discussing the involvement of Industry in Education for Sustainable Development, the students seek their week forward how to generate action-based learning processes in the various OPEDUCA-regions being developed.

Welcoming New Students for OPEDUCA

At Bonnefanten College VHBO in Maastricht, Teachers but also students and teacher-training-students welcome parents and kids from primary education at their Open House.

Winthin a week already 140 pupils coming from Primary enlisted for welcoming-lessons at the College, making their way to the finest piece of Secondary Education in the region.

An honour and a pleasure to have The OPEDUCA Project presented through a keynote at the "2017 International Achievement Forum" in London, March 28, with the Academic Union Oxford.

The international ‘Achievement Forum’ is an authoritative multicultural platform for fresh thinking on CEO`s role in companies achievements and regions development, investing to the progressive regions, territories and businesses. The forum is aimed at investors, attractive territories and cities, successful businesses and companies, economic development agencies, regional infrastructure and finance professionals and experts.

This year it will also host the Academic Union Oxford Open Session to provide a panel discussion on modern challenges and solutions in the field of education for prominent European and leading regional Universities, educational institutions, rectors, senior faculty and educational management professionals from 45 world countries.
