The Editorial Committee and the Editorial Team of the Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law unequivocally support our colleagues Joana Mendes, Harm Schepel and their fellow former board members of the European Law Journal in their decision. The quality and the integrity of academic publishing are inextricably linked to the expertise, autonomy and independence of an academic journal’s staff, its authors and its reviewers. Last week, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law with a conference at the beautiful Château Neercanne. Great presentations and discussions surrounding the topics of legal publishing, comparative law, EU law as well as a look into the history of the Maastricht Journal were complemented by a beautiful location, great weather and food. Many thanks to all the speakers and the participants for making this a very special day and for the lively discussions! We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Universiteitsfonds Limburg for supporting the event. Looking forward to the next 25 years!

Save the Date: Celebrating 25 Years of the Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law
On Thursday, 28 June 2018, the Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the form of a full-day conference at Chateau Neercanne, Cannerweg 800, 6213 ND Maastricht. The anniversary event will feature interesting panels composed of high-level academics discussing the subjects of EU law, comparative law and legal publishing in a beautiful setting. Make sure to mark the date in your calendar. More information will follow in short.
