Bio Science Park Excursie

Op woensdag 29 november organiseert de Bètabanenmarkt opnieuw de jaarlijkse Bio Science Park Excursie (BSPE).

Programma
De excursie neemt je mee langs verschillende bedrijven op het Bio Science Park. Deze bedrijven zullen tijdens de excursie ingaan op de verscheidene (starter-)functies en mogelijke loopbanen die beschikbaar zijn binnen hun bedrijf. Daarnaast zullen er ook drie start-up bedrijven aanwezig zijn en wordt er een workshop gegeven, die zich zal focussen op hoe een bedrijf wordt opgezet. Je komt erachter wat het betekent om een start-up te beginnen en wat de uitdagingen zijn.

Er zal een lunch en een netwerkborrel worden verzorgd, waar onder andere met Leidse alumni en bedrijfsmedewerkers kan worden genetwerkt.

On Wednesday November 29th another edition of the Bio Science Park Excursion (BSPE) will take place.

Programme
The excursion includes company tours across the Bio Science Park, where employees will speak about what it means to work at the company as a starter, and about possible jobs in their field. There will be three start-up companies and a workshop about what it means to have a start-up and what challenges are associated with it.

There will be a lunch and after the event, there will be drinks during which Leiden alumni and employees from the companies will be present.

As a joined initiative with Buxenus, SysBioSim, Szienz, the Biotech Training Facility, and Filterless we have organised the second Biotech Data Initiative. To listen, discuss, and brainstorm about data within biological research.

Na een ruime periode op de achtergrond betrokken te zijn geweest bij de ontwikkeling van Filterless hebben Eric Hillgersom en Arthur Schreuder besloten om als mede eigenaar deel te gaan nemen in Filterless Holding BV.

Arthur Schreuder komt Filterless BV directie versterken. Hij is betrokken geweest bij veel innovatieve projecten, het ontwikkelen van nieuwe diensten en neemt daarbij zijn kennis uit de beveiligingswereld mee.

Filterless BV is voor bedrijven, in de Bioscience sector, die meer uit hun onderzoek willen halen. Filterless heeft zowel kennis van biologie als informatica en kan u helpen met de automatisering, opslag en ontwikkeling van onderzoek.

Exciting new collaboration at the Leiden Bio Science park: Bioinformatics startup Filterless will help Toxys to improve their Toxplot software platform.

The bioinformatics startup Filterless, that was founded late last year, will help the biotech company Toxys to improve their software platform that is used in the ToxTracker assay. Filterless will help Toxys to build a unique toxicity database that will be used to assess the relevance of their in vitro ToxTracker results to humans.

The collaboration between Filterless and Toxys exemplifies the great opportunities of the Life Science cluster at the Leiden Bio Science park.
