Today we celebrated Kingโs Day the Dutch way!
Our students took part in a vibrant and joyful โVrije Marktโ (Free Market), bringing items from home and setting up their own small stands. Using our school Tisa coins, they experienced both sides of the process..buying, selling, making choices, and interacting with one another in a fun and meaningful way.
The market was full of wonderful items, including toys, books, games, and creative finds, all shared with care and enthusiasm. Alongside the market, students enjoyed traditional-style games and a lively food stand with refreshing drinks and treats, creating a truly festive atmosphere.
It was a day full of cooperation, creativity, and real-life learning, where students developed confidence, communication, and teamwork skills while celebrating an important Dutch tradition.
๐งก A beautiful celebration filled with energy, smiles, and community spirit!

๐ TISA Students Take Part in the Kangaroo Math Competition
On March 27, TISA students joined over 120,000 children across the Netherlands in one of the countryโs largest mathematics challenges - the W4Kangoeroe (Worldwide Mathematics Competition).
A total of 37 students aged 6โ11 took part. The format encourages independent thinking: students worked individually, solving problems within a set time and recording their answers on answer sheets.
For our youngest participants, support was provided where needed, with questions read aloud to ensure everyone could confidently take part.
How the competition works:
Students are grouped by age and complete a set of logic and problem-solving questions within a limited time, working independently and focusing on their own decisions.
โข Ages 6โ8: 12 questions, 30 minutes
โข Ages 8โ10: 24 questions, 60 minutes
โข Ages 10โ11: 24 questions, 50 minutes
The questions gradually increase in difficulty, allowing each student to engage at their level and then challenge themselves further.
We are especially proud to highlight some outstanding results:
โจ Matas - 98% result, placing among the top 1โ2% of participants
โจ Alexander - 97% result, among the top 3%
โจ Astrid - 95% result, among the top ~4โ5%
These results are particularly meaningful considering the scale of the competition.
All participants will receive certificates and prizes in May, recognising their effort and commitment.
Competitions like this help children develop real skills: logical thinking, decision-making, focus, and perseverance. Step by step, they build confidence and learn to approach challenges with curiosity and determination.
We are proud of every student who took part ๐

Once upon a time, something new appeared in the TISA schedule.
We call it Golden Hour โจ
It started this term, when we noticed something unusual:
during the big break, students werenโt going outside.
They stayed in the library - working on their own ideas.
In our MBA programme, students usually follow structured projects:
case studies, city solutions, app design, SMART goals, budgeting, planning.
But something unexpected happened.
Even within this structure,
they kept returning to ideas that werenโt assigned -
the ones that truly mattered to them.
After lessons, they stayed and created:
๐ต writing songs
๐ฌ editing videos
๐ developing stories
๐ rehearsing dance routines
Some of these ideas grew into real initiatives:
a babysitting club, a beauty corner, student-led projects.
The library slowly became a space
where something is always in progress.
So we made a decision:
give it time - and give it structure.
Thatโs how Golden Hour was born.
A dedicated time for students to work on their own projects
and apply what they learn in real life.
We also introduced Tisacoins ๐ฐ -
an internal currency that rewards effort, initiative, and collaboration.
Every Monday brings new opportunities:
events, exhibitions, school projects - and more.
What started as extra time in the library
is now part of our learning system.
If youโd like our project planning template
to use with your child - send us a DM ๐ฌ

In March, TISA students took part in a stick fighting competition in Voorschoten.
The event brought together around 170 participants aged 4 to 17. The tournament was held over two Sundays, with each group competing for approximately 2.5 hours.
Around 10 TISA students participated across different age categories. During the matches, they demonstrated key stick fighting techniques such as striking, parrying, and evading, competing one-on-one with focus and control.
Our students showed solid performance throughout the competition, maintaining discipline and respect in every match.
๐
We congratulate all our winners and medalists!
This competition was an important opportunity for students to test their skills in real conditions, learn to stay composed during challenges, and build confidence through experience.
We are proud of all our students! ๐

On Friday, our school came together to celebrate with a special Easter breakfast.
Students shared food, spent time together, and enjoyed a warm and friendly atmosphere across the school.
Moments like theseโจ go beyond celebration a they help build a strong sense of community, kindness, and belonging.
They remind us that school is not only about learning, but also about growing together, supporting one another, and creating meaningful connections.

๐ Autism Awareness Day at Our School ๐
โ
Dear Parents,
โ
Today we celebrated International Autism Awareness Day. It was a special day filled with kindness, understanding, and togetherness.
โ
At our school, we have a class of children with autism - and they are a natural and important part of our community. Every day, children spend time together: they have breakfast and lunch side by side, play, and sometimes go for walks outdoors. This helps them build real friendships and learn from each other.
โ
We are also supported by school psychologists, and during our social-emotional lessons we often talk with students about an important idea - everyone is different, and thatโs what makes us stronger.
โ
Today, all students wore blue and took part in activities where they learned about kindness, inclusion, and understanding others. One of the most meaningful moments was when the children worked together on a puzzle - a symbol of unity, showing that every piece matters.
โ
We are proud to create a school environment where every child feels seen, accepted, and valued.
โ
Thank you for your support ๐
