Power outages are experienced by many Africans, and it is a problem in Ghana too. A Minority member on Parliament’s Mines and Energy Committee, says that Ghana "has enough resources to provide adequate power, and the irregular power situation is a clear indication of the government’s mismanagement of these resources." 'Politics' is obviously an area well researched by anthropologists, but did you know there is also something like 'the anthropology of fuels'? Would you rather research politics or energy-use patterns?
