INITIATIEF
Het initiatief tot de oprichting van de stichting FIDc werd genomen in 2007, nadat gebleken was dat
1. er te weinig / en te weinig variatie van bestaande bronnen aanwezig is/zijn (secundaire bronnen; bestaande wetenschappelijke bronnen, boeken, artikelen ) geschikt als bouwstenen voor nieuw wetenschappelijk onderzoek;
2. dat er niet of nauwelijks geput wordt uit bestaande primaire b

ronnen (archieven, beeld en filmmateriaal);
3. dat er niet of nauwelijks financiele middelen ter beschikking gesteld worden door de reguliere kanalen (NWO, KNAW) om onderzoek in de “Nederlandse overzeese gebiedsdelen en Suriname te financieren”.

Aanhangers van de herkozen Turkse president Erdogan hebben zich vanavond op het Mercatorplein verzameld om de verkiezingsoverwinning te vieren. Er wordt gezwaaid met Turkse vlaggen, vuurwerk afgestoken en uiteraard ook veel getoeterd.
