The Microfoundations of Debt Crises (MIDEBT) Project is a political science research project funded by the European Research Council and hosted at Leiden University.
How do citizens think about government debt? This project investigates the political roots of government debt crises by exploring the drivers of citizens’ preferences towards fiscal policies.
We use online surveys to learn more about citizens' opinions on economic policy.
