💧 PoVE Water is committed to helping children understand the importance of water from an early age.
👩🏫 In Munich, Maria from WECF Deutschland has been running engaging water workshops in Bavarian schools.
❓ Each session begins with the same question:
“How much water do we consume daily in Germany?”
🤔 It sounds simple — but most students can’t answer it.
And that’s exactly the purpose of the workshop.
🌍 These activities show that water is not a resource we can take for granted.
Awareness starts with understanding.

💧 Water isn’t always a dedicated subject in school curricula — in many places, it only appears occasionally within other topics.
🌍 In Bavaria, this gap is being addressed thanks to Germany, who organises hands‑on water workshops in schools.
👩🏫 We spoke with Dr. Frederike C., a biology and chemistry teacher, about how her students reacted.
✨ After the workshop, one student said:
“I didn’t pay much attention to water before, now it has definitely changed my way of seeing it.”
💙 Small moments like this show how powerful water education can be.
"It's very important for the future to bring a lot more innovation about water into the world." 💧✨🌍
Noortje is studying "Advisor sustainable environment" at Yuverta in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and cares a lot about the climate 🌱🌡️. Joining the PoVE Water autumn school in Malta 🇲🇹 allowed her to learn about the island's water management 🚰 and a circular approach ♻️ implemented in water reservoirs 💦.

We may have had our final project meeting in Brno in March organised by University, but the exchanges and mobility programmes continue! After the autumn school in October 2025, our PoVE partners in Malta, MCAST and Water Services Corporation are organising a new event!
Matiass, student at Vidzemes Tehnoloģiju un dizaina tehnikums, explains why he wanted to join the autumn school in Malta: " I wanted to learn more about how this little island in the middle of the sea can produce its own water."
It is with the same aim in mind that water professionals will travel to Malta in the end of April to learn more about desalination and water reuse.

Plumbers are responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of complex water supply and sewage networks. These specialists need technical precision, the ability to work in dynamic conditions, and to ensure that clean water reaches every home and that wastewater is safely transported to treatment plants.
