De jaarlijkse uitreiking van de certificaten vond dit jaar voor de tweede opeenvolgende keer plaats in het Schoenenkwartier in Waalwijk.

De cursisten volgden onder leiding van drie ervaren gidsen een rondleiding door het museum waarbij de historie van de schoenen industrie in de Langstraat verteld. Er werd uitleg gegeven over het looiproces van leer en de vervaardiging van schoenen. De werking werd gedemonstreerd van enkele van de diverse machines die in het verleden in de fabrieken werden gebruikt.

Na de rondleiding werden onder het genot van een hapje en een drankje de certificaten aan de studenten uitgereikt.

Hartelijk dank aan de gidsen, de medewerkers en de vrijwilligers voor de onvergetelijke middag.

The annual certificate ceremony of my Academy took place at the Schoenenkwartier in Waalwijk. The students were treated with a visit to the museum with a tour guide. After the tour the ceremony took place with friends and family of the students. Special moment was the online Craft the Leather award ceremony organized by Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale - Consorzio to student Speyers Design who won the 9th edition of this event. My thanks go to the museum staff and especially to Toontje for her enthusiastic efforts in organising this very successful presentation.

De jaarlijkse certificaatuitreiking vond dit jaar plaats in het Schoenenkwartier in Waalwijk. De studenten kregen van naamgenoot gids René, eerst een rondleiding door het museum. Hierna vond onder belangstelling van familie en vrienden de uitreiking plaats. Bijzonder moment was de online uitreiking van de crafttheleather award georganiseerd door consorzioverapelle aan student Wout Speyers. Mijn dank gaat uit naar de medewerkers van het museum en in het bijzonder naar Toontje voor haar enthousiaste inzet bij de organisatie van deze zeer geslaagde uitreiking.

It’s official. With great pride and joy I can say that my student Wout Speyers Speyers Design has won the 9th edition of the Craft the Leather competition organized by Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale - Consorzio. Both jury and public voted him the best entry. Many thanks to you all. I consider it a great honor that my Academy has been invited to join this wonderful program that brings awareness on the beautiful and extremely versatile material that is Tuscan Vegtan Leather. Many thanks to everyone involved and congratulations to all students and teachers that has participate.
