At Chatterbox Kids we teach English in a fun and communicative way by using the Triple L concept of Learning the Language by Living it. Only English is spoken at all times. The children are encouraged to use English right from the start and if words fail, we simply use pictures, signs and realia to bring across meaning. All our classes are hands-on, for example by using games, arts and crafts or g
oing on field trips. The language taught is always based on real life situations. One day we might bake cookies and the next time we get together we explore all the different rooms of a house or we go to a small animal farm or the zoo and learn all about animals in English. We will also use the “FUN BOX” * at regular intervals. And we will miss no opportunity to celebrate holidays across the English language world: Hooray St. Paddy’s Day and Boohoo…. No boring classroom but fun and exciting educational get-togethers. Our pricing is competitive with regular after school care but with the additional benefit of a learning experience. Regular classes are for two hours. We keep class sizes small (4-6 children). Minimum enrollment per class is two. During some of the activities and on fieldtrips we are joined by two fully bilingual children. Classes include a drink and a healthy snack. All materials are included. We do charge a small additional fee for fieldtrips, but only to cover entrance fees or transportation costs (if any). COME CHATTER AWAY WITH US
*Kids get to write their favourite topics for future classes on small pieces of paper to be put in the FUN BOX. The class before a FUN BOX session we will get out the FUN BOX and draw next week’s topic.
