NSW PRIDE EXTENDED SQUAD 🦁 Congrats to the following Women’s 1st Grade athletes who were selected in the 2023 NSW Pride Women's Extended Training Squad! 🙌

The 45-athlete female squad features the top athletes from NSW selected at the recent Hockey NSW Open State Championships in Narellan. This squad will train over the coming months before an official 30-player squad is submitted to the in August, with a reduction to a final 22 in early September.

Premier League grades are changing in 2020. Sydney Hockey recently approved of the following structure for 2020. The Season will be over 18 Rounds with teams playing 16 matches followed by a top 6 Finals series

Need assistance in finding accommodation in Sydney?
Accommodation in Australia is affordable by Western European and American standards, but certainly not a budget destination compared with say, Southeast Asia.

As a general guide, you will need about AU$18,000 to AU$25,000 (€12,000-16,500) for living expenses for one year. This is roughly $370-$500 a week and covers accommodation, food, transport and clothing. This can vary of course depending on where you live but in general, the costs are fairly comparable to those of a student living in Amsterdam. The biggest cost will be associated with accommodation and study fees.

Knowing where to live can be very confusing if you have never been to Australia before. Some students prefer to live right next to campus/school, whilst others prefer to live nearer to the beach or city. You need to think about what type of area you would like to live in before searching for accommodation.

You should consider these points;

· Live close to public transport, especially if you don’t have a car.

· Consider the type of area you want to live in

· How much can you afford? As a guide, twin-share bedrooms range from $150-280 p/w, and single bedrooms from $250-380 p/w

· Remember that you will need to pay a ‘bond’ or deposit which is usually 1-4 weeks of rent.

You will also need furnished and shared accommodation.
Sydney has a large range of accommodation options available for you. The closer you are situated to the city center, the more expensive your cost of living will be.
