𝐇𝐞𝐭 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐚𝐧… 𝟓𝟎-𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 & 𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔)

Voor deze Time Travel Thursday blijven we in 2026. Een bijzonder jaar in onze geschiedenis, waarin we niet alleen stilstaan bij waar we vandaan komen, maar vooral ook vooruitkijken naar de toekomst.

Dit jaar staat namelijk in het teken van ons jubileum. Op 1 april bestond AAE precies 50 jaar. Een mijlpaal die we samen hebben gevierd en nog uitgebreid gaan vieren. Daarnaast markeert 2026 ook het begin van een nieuw hoofdstuk. Op 1 juli treedt de Executive Board officieel aan, bestaande uit Manon Pijnenburg als CEO, Leon Verweijen als CFO en Kurt Wils als CxO.

Samen bouwen zij verder aan de volgende fase van AAE. Met een duidelijke ambitie: internationaal blijven groeien, blijven innoveren en onze klanten wereldwijd ondersteunen.

Van twee medewerkers in 1976 naar een internationale organisatie met meer dan 550 AAE’ers in 2026. In 50 jaar is er veel veranderd, maar één ding blijft hetzelfde: dit verhaal schrijven we samen verder. Want met de juiste mensen om ons heen, volgt de rest vanzelf.

For this Time Travel Thursday, we’re staying in 2026. A remarkable year in our history, in which we not only reflect on where we came from, but above all look ahead to the future.

This year is all about our anniversary. On April 1, AAE officially celebrated its 50th anniversary. A milestone we have celebrated together, with even more celebrations still to come. In addition, 2026 also marks the beginning of a new chapter. On July 1, the Executive Board officially takes office, consisting of Manon Pijnenburg as CEO, Leon Verweijen as CFO, and Kurt Wils as CxO.

Together, they will continue building the next chapter of AAE. With a clear ambition: to continue growing internationally, keep innovating, and support our customers worldwide.

From two employees in 1976 to an international organization with more than 550 AAE employees in 2026. A lot has changed over the past 50 years, but one thing remains the same: we continue writing this story together. Because with the right people around us, the rest follows naturally.

Als Lead Mechanical Engineer AOS bij AAE neem je technisch eigenaarschap over (sub)modules binnen complexe machinebouwprojecten. Je maakt niet alleen zelf technische keuzes en ontwerpen, maar bent ook de inhoudelijke kartrekker die collega engineers, klanten en leveranciers meeneemt naar de beste oplossing.

En de techniek? Die is allesbehalve eenzijdig.
Het ene project werk je aan een machine die bijdraagt aan baanbrekend kankeronderzoek. Het volgende aan een hightech coatingmachine voor de semicon-industrie.

Op 29 augustus verruilt Frank zijn vertrouwde AAE-omgeving voor de Italiaanse bergen. Namens AAE doet hij voor de vijfde keer mee aan Stelvio for Life challenge. Daarmee wacht hem een sportieve uitdaging, namelijk de beklimming van de Stelvio-pas.

Voor Frank draait deze dag om meer dan alleen het bereiken van de finish. Met zijn deelname zet hij zich in voor een belangrijk doel: een bijdrage leveren aan kankeronderzoek. Een mooie combinatie van een persoonlijke uitdaging en iets betekenen voor een ander, voor een betere wereld.

De komende weken staan voor Frank nog in het teken van de laatste voorbereidingen. En op 29 augustus? Dan is het tijd om die berg te bedwingen! 💪

On 29 August, Frank will swap his familiar AAE surroundings for the Italian mountains. Representing AAE, he will take part in the Stelvio for Life Challenge for the fifth time. A demanding sporting challenge awaits him: climbing the Stelvio Pass.

For Frank, this day is about more than simply reaching the finish line. By taking part, he is supporting an important cause: contributing to cancer research. It’s a great combination of taking on a personal challenge and making a difference for others, for a better world.

Over the next few weeks, Frank will be focusing on his final preparations. And on 29 August? It’ll be time to conquer that mountain! 💪

Het afgelopen jaar zetten onze AAE’ers zich vrijwillig in voor verschillende initiatieven in onze regio. Van helpen bij volkstuin de Bundertjes en spelletjes doen met ouderen tot het inzamelen en sorteren van spijkerbroeken bij BeBizzy.

Met deze activiteiten dragen we op een duurzame manier bij aan het welzijn van de mensen om ons heen. Niet alleen voor de toekomst, maar ook vandaag.

Ook komend jaar blijven we graag onze energie steken in initiatieven die bijdragen aan een betere wereld.

Vandaag vertrekt Solar Team Eindhoven naar Kenia voor een bijzondere volgende stap: Stella Juva in de praktijk testen.

Van de straten van Nairobi tot uitdagende off-roadroutes rond Naivasha en verschillende veldlocaties van Amref Health Africa. Het team gaat onderzoeken hoe Stella Juva presteert onder realistische omstandigheden en of het medische concept kan bijdragen aan betere en toegankelijkere gezondheidszorg in afgelegen gebieden.

Als AAE zijn we trots dat we dit team mogen ondersteunen op weg naar deze bijzondere mijlpaal. Wij wensen het hele team ontzettend veel succes in Kenia! 💚

Today, Solar Team Eindhoven is heading to Kenya for an exciting next step: putting Stella Juva to the test in real-world conditions.

From the streets of Nairobi to challenging off-road routes around Naivasha and various field locations of Amref Health Africa, the team will explore how Stella Juva performs under real-world conditions and whether its medical concept can contribute to better and more accessible healthcare in remote areas.
