Helaas zit de reis naar Noord-Ierland er weer op. Het was een leerzame en geweldige week voor onze studenten en collega's.

A massive welcome to the ten Uniform Protected Services students, and their lecturers, from Vista College, Netherlands, who are with NWRC on an Erasmus+ 1 week Skills programme.
During the week the group visited the local council, Foyle Search & Rescue, and observed a Derry Halloween pre event validation Exercise.
They also met with our UPS students at Limavady campus.

Deze week is een afvaardiging van onze opleiding Publieke Veiligheid op uitwissling in het kader van het Erasmus+ Mobility Exchange Programme op bezoek bij North West Regional College in Derry (Noord-Ierland) . Daar volgen zijn een intensief, maar leerzaam programma en doen zij nieuwe, leuke en leerzame ervaring op. Op het programma stond o.a. een bezoek aan de burgemeester van Derry.

I had the pleasure of welcoming a group of ten students and staff from Vista College in the Netherlands to the Guildhall as part of an Erasmus+ Mobility Exchange Programme hosted by North West Regional College (NWRC).

The visiting students are studying Uniformed Protective Services and will spend the week in Derry taking part in a busy schedule of classes, industry visits, and training activities — all designed to share knowledge and experience with their local peers at NWRC.

Their programme will culminate in an informal skills competition, highlighting the valuable international partnerships that strengthen learning and professional development.

This exchange is part of a reciprocal partnership that will see NWRC students travel to the Netherlands in March/April 2026 to take part in a similar programme.

It was a real pleasure to meet such enthusiastic and dedicated young people, and I wish them every success during their stay in our city! 🌍✨
