About 23 million people worldwide speak Dutch as their native language. Besides the Netherlands, Dutch is spoken in Flanders and Suriname. Dutch is also an official language in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. Afrikaans is spoken in South Africa and Namibia. This language comes from the Dutch language.
