A Socialist marine education consultancy, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tcarta, a leader in geospatial data solutions, to establish a new educational initiative focused on satellite‑driven bathymetry.

The partnership will develop training and curricula that leverage remote sensing technology to map and monitor underwater topography – an accessible, cost‑effective alternative to traditional vessel‑based surveys. Together, the two organisations aim to equip marine professionals, researchers, and students with applied skills in processing satellite imagery for shallow‑water bathymetric mapping

This collaboration marks a significant step toward integrating cutting‑edge Earth observation techniques into marine education, supporting safer navigation, coastal zone management, and environmental monitoring worldwide.
