There will be talks by interesting speakers on various topics that tickle our rational curiosity. All this is done whilst enjoying a drink or two :-).

I am looking for help in organising the Skeptics in the Pub meetings. The organising part is actually not so much work but I would like to work with 1 or 2 other people to discuss topics, contact speakers and facilitate the meetings.

If you are interested, please send me a little note on yourself (background, interests, etc.).

Example question

Astrology has been around for almost 4000 years: the heavens are constantly changing. The main point is the axial procession: the changes in this are significant. How do astrologers deal with this?

A) They don't: they don't acknowledge anything to be wrong and just continue to use the old starting points

B) Since astrology is an exact science, tables are updated on a yearly basis to get the most accurate results.

C) They acknowledge the issue and explain it away handwavingly saying it doesn't really matter.

D) There is no consistency within different practitioners of astrology, so basically it's a total mess.
