Future of Minorities & Multilingualism
As has been reported by various media platforms by now, we would hereby like to announce that as of the 2025-2026 academic year, our programme Minorities & Multilingualism will be discontinued due to low student numbers in recent years. Sadly, this means that the upcoming academic year will be the last year in which students can enroll themselves for this programme, although we will not actively promote studying M&M via our socials any longer. Furthermore, the position that Frisian holds at the University of Groningen will not be affected by this decision, as it has been confirmed that Frisian will get a new, more prominent place in the UG. Lastly, the MA Multilingualism will also not be affected by the decision to discontinue M&M.
