HRM Department - University of Twente

Today was an important milestone for many of our HRM master track students! The very first HRM MSc Graduation Conference on "HRM, Technology & Innovation" marked the end of the study for 14 master students. They successfully presented and defended their theses and can be proud of their achievements.

It was also the first graduation of our Double Degree students from the University of L’Aquila (Italy).

This week we will host the very first HRM MSc Graduation Conference MSc Graduation Conference on “HRM, Technology & Innovation”. Our Master students will present and defend their HRM Master thesis in a two-day conference style. The first edition of the conference will be hosted completely online.

It will also mark the first graduation of our Double Degree students from the University of L’Aquila (Italy).

In September, we will start again with the master course Strategic HR Analytics. Together with Grolsch we are preparing a high-quality and intensive course with real-life data from Grolsch. With these data student groups have to analyze the problem and develop recommendations for the Grolsch HR team. Both Kick Ditzel (Grolsch) and me are looking forward to this year’s edition. What do you want? To start your next academic year with a tour at Grolsch brewery or to sit in the University of Twente lecture rooms? Do you like to use your analytic skills to get insights from big data? Then choose the course Strategic HR Analytics. The UT and Royal Grolsch decided to collaborate again in this year's Master course, based on the positive student feedback of last year.

We start on 4th September with an introduction, a brewery tour and a product confrontation. See you there!

In September we will start with a new group of students from University of Twente ánd University of L’Aquila. Students from our Master track and double degree program will perform an analysis of the HR data provided by Grolsch, to answer their HR business questions.

Last week a poster presentation marked the final session of our course HRM & Innovation. This event took place at the Twente Safety Campus of the Netherlands Fire Service (Twente Airport). Students got a great tour around the campus and presented their projects about innovative work behavior at the Fire Services. They developed solutions to improve innovation based on real-life data, and presented recommendations to the Netherlands Fire Services how to stimulate their innovativeness.

Thanks to the students and the Netherlands Fire Services for a great event!

Tomorrow there will be a debate about equal opportunities and gender bias at the University of Twente. One of the speakers will be our professor Tanya Bondarouk. Please feel free to join this event!
