Meet Jacopo – the latest addition to our ACT team. 👨‍💻 Last year, his journey with Studyportals started as a Marketing Analytics intern and today he is one of our Junior Analytics Consultants. 👨‍💼

Originally from Italy, he stumbled across Studyportals while searching for a fitting bachelor’s in business which he found in Germany. After his semester abroad in the Netherlands, it was time for an internship. Remembering Studyportals, he was soon attracted by the internship job description.
Since then, his favorite part about working here is the fact that he always sees himself developing and learning new skills. 👨‍🎓 There is never a dull moment or a week in which he works on the same tasks. But he also admits, that the whole learning process can be a bit overwhelming from time to time.
When asked about his proudest moment 🙆‍♂️ at Studyportals, Jacopo gladly told me about the moment he submitted his part of the whitepaper ‘Bracing for Brexit’. He worked a full month on it and put a lot of effort in it. It was his first work of that kind. Yet, when his boss told him the paper was brilliant, he was way surer about his abilities and knew he was on the right track. 🤩

Let me introduce you to our latest Superhero of the month – Andreea Luca Vasile! 🦸‍♀️🤩
As our Data Analyst in the Bucharest mansion, among other tasks, she is responsible for monitoring the quality of our data and seeks to maintain and improve it constantly. Furthermore, she conducts analyses in order to provide relevant insights for making the best decision regarding data quality. 📈
In August 2016, Andreea was looking for a change in her career and was attracted by Studyportals’ mission and the international environment. After working here for three years and facing many new processes and challenging projects, she is proud to have helped to form a new direction and for the impact she regularly makes for students worldwide. 👩‍🎓 She feels comfortable in her team – inside as well as outside the office – and values that Studyportals encourages its employees to leave their comfort zone on a regular basis in order to grow personally. 💥 Normally, Andreea avoids being the center of attention but by being appointed Superhero of the month she feels grateful and can even enjoy that attention.
Answering the question about her favorite Superhero, she named two of the people that inspire her. 🙌 Winston Churchill for his leadership in time of crisis, who made a great point in human history during the second world war and not only and her husband who is always enthusiastic about life and everything he does.

Meet Bertrand – our Strategic Partnerships Director – and celebrate with him his 1️⃣0️⃣-year anniversary at Studyportals. 🥳🎉
Well, you might wonder what have been the major changes over the years? Not only did the company turn from Mastersportal into Studyportals, but also the values and the mission have become clearer over the years. However, Bertrand remembers that the initial strategy and energy is still preserved. He highly values our healthy work environment and the team that consists of ambitious and open-minded people. 😇 So, coming to work is actually fun and there is no feeling of pressure even during busy days.🙆‍♂️
With a smile on his face he recalls his proudest moment here at Studyportals. It was at the Christmas party 2014 when he first received the certificate for a donation in his name to UNICEF. 🙌
But besides all the fun we have together, we of course also face challenges. Bertrand remembers the moment at the beginning of last year when he decided for himself and his health to step down from his position as CCO and work again directly with Universities and other Higher Ed Institutions to help them with their international recruitment which is what gives him a lot of energy and joy.

Lastly, since all of us here are superheroes, we asked for his favorite one. That turned out to be quite a tricky question, so here we go with Bertrand’s “Top 3 and a Hobbit”.
