New to another country?

I'm curious, do you speak the language quickly?

My thoughts on this are that you can learn the basic phrases of a language quickly and easily.

Within a week you need to be able to greet people, thank them and know how to pay for what you want to buy.

You don't have to master the language, but you can pick up some basics just by listening to the locals.

👋In Dutch you greet by saying: hallo or goedemorgen/goedemiddag/goedenavond

🙏You thank someone with the words: dank je

💳And you pay by asking: kan ik betalen?

I always try to use a bit of the local language.
I love trying thw new words and sounds. For me it is like a game I want to get better at.

Easy language hacks to use during summer

I always say to my students: If you don't use it, you will lose it.

So use your new language actively!

1. Write about your day
2. Cook with a recipe in your target language
3. Change the settings of your devices

Simple actions that will increase your interaction with the language.
