Celebrating Caitrin today.

🏆 2 kids under 3.
🏆 Full time job as an assistent professor at the university of Amsterdam.
🏆 Dutch in-laws.
🏆 10 years here.

She said:
"I had put Dutch on a shelf.
Put my head in the sand.
Actively trying to ignore it."

But when her second child was born, she decided:
'Genoeg is genoeg.'

Then she found me. ("I was just scrolling on Instagram, and there you were"! 🤩 )

We started with 1:1 lessons, with the goal to get her speaking skills up to the level so that she could join the Dutch Speaking Mastery program - 6 weeks later.

"Speaking Dutch in our lessons felt so awkward in the beginning."

But she persevered.
She showed up.
(Even when she had only slept 2 hours - her youngest was only 10 months old when we started!).

She did the work.

And she made it happen. She joined the Mastery group and that's where it really started to click... Up to the point where she walked into work and ACCIDENTALY spoke Dutch with her Dutch colleagues without even thinking about it 😁💫🥹

Today I celebrate her.
This is why I do what I do.
