Today, Leeuwarden was the setting for a special encounter between art, history and heraldry. ✨

At the invitation of the Dutch Heraldry Society (NGH), I had the opportunity to present my engravings atTreasor in the Fryske Akademy.

A remarkable place, inspiring encounters, and conversations with people who possess an impressive knowledge of heraldry. From centuries-old symbolism and family coats of arms to the art and craftsmanship behind engraving.

Today, I saw a lot, learned a lot, and above all, found a great deal of inspiration…

And there is more to share.

Six months ago, I received a message.

A message that quietly marked the beginning of something I could not yet fully imagine.

My work had been noticed.

Not simply as objects, but as craftsmanship — the patience, precision and tradition behind every cut.

Today, I am deeply proud to finally share where that message led.

I have been selected as an artisan for the Homo Faber Guide.

My own dedicated page is now part of a platform celebrating exceptional craftsmanship and the people who keep these skills alive.

For a hand engraver, this is more than a publication.

It is an honour to see a centuries-old craft — practiced by hand, one line at a time — recognised on an international stage.

I am grateful.
I am honoured.
And above all, I am proud to continue this craft.

From 28–30 August, I’ll be exhibiting at Inova Collections in Frankfurt, Germany, at stand EG86.

I’ll be bringing part of my wedding ring collection, and I’ll also be giving a live demonstration of hand engraving on wedding rings. 💍✨
