This month, we’re proud to celebrate Eduard Apostol, an outstanding contributor from our Business Relations Working Group! 🌟

Eduard took the lead on sponsorship outreach for two crucial events facing funding challenges: the Ideathon and the AMEAC.

During summer, he kept team morale high, proactively reaching out to around 10 new companies every week. 📈🤝

Thanks to his persistence, EUROAVIA is now in active discussions with 3 to 4 potential sponsors. His resilience and drive perfectly embody the EUROAVIAn spirit! 🚀✨

🚁 ROTORTHON 2026 Applications Are Now Open!

Ready to shape the future of Vertical Take-Off & Landing? EUROAVIA, in collaboration with EUROPEAN ROTORS , is bringing you the vertical flight hackathon of the year!

🏆 The Prize: The winning team will be flown to EUROPEAN ROTORS in Lyon this year: with free flights, free accommodation, and free transportation all covered. On top of that, winners get access to exclusive activities during the conference.

Here's what to expect:
✅ A fully virtual challenge running September 14- October 9, 2026
✅ Open to ALL university students (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent) of any field, any background
✅ Teams of 3: apply together, or fly solo and get matched by the Organizing Team
✅ 100% free, conducted in English

We are excited to officially announce the Student AirRace Zero Delta Challenge!
📍Munich, October 2026

Teams will race a marked course, close in on a designated zone, and confirm a target position with precision. Speed gets you there. Closing the delta to zero is what counts.

Mission and weight are the primary constraints, alongside baseline safety requirements (fail-safes, kill switches, voltage limits). Everything else- airframe, systems, approach- is left to your team's engineering judgement.

An optional autonomous landing layer, built on computer vision, is available for teams who want to push further. Autonomous or manual- both paths can win. Autonomous simply earns more.

Design, build, document, and fly under the same discipline expected of a real certification process.

Elena Chrysaki, HR & IT WG

Elena showed incredible motivation within multiple Working Groups. She has been a huge part in writing the improved Harassment Policy, organisation, onboarding new members, and bringing great ideas/visions to move EUROAVIA forward. ✈️

Beyond her strong contributions in HR WG, she has also brought the same energy and initiative to IT WG, managing tasks and members and contributing great work on the EUROAVIA app.

Elena has a bright future in our beloved organisation and will help move EUROAVIA to even greater heights.✨

Ideathon is happening 3-8 November in Bruges. Six days packed in: arrive, get inspired at the welcome session, spend two full days tackling real aerospace problems, hear from guest speakers, present your team's ideas, and celebrate with a cultural night, all in one of Europe's prettiest cities.

✈️ An week for EUROAVIA at ILA Berlin 2026! 🇩🇪

✨️ EUROAVIA made its mark with two booths showcasing our work and approximately 200 EUROAVIAns from across Europe, coming together in a place filled with aviation, space innovation and spectacular airshows.

🤝 From company tours, exhibitions and networking opportunities to participating as speakers in the Talent Slam, we made the most of every moment.

🚀 Together, we strengthened our presence in the aerospace industry and continued spreading the EUROAVIA dream.

A huge thank you to ILA Berlin for this unforgettable experience, and to all the Local Groups that joined us on this incredible adventure! 💙
