And we’re back!

What a way to kick off the new school year at ISB! It was great to see everyone catching up with friends, meeting new classmates and getting back into school life. We were also delighted to welcome our new students and families to the ISB community – we hope you’re already starting to feel at home!

A highlight of the day was Sports Day – the perfect way to start the year with plenty of teamwork, friendly competition and laughs, while reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. Even our PE teachers couldn’t resist getting involved and going head-to-head!

A brilliant start to 2026–2027 – it’s great to have everyone back, and we’re looking forward to the year ahead!

In May, PYP 3 visited the Fruitboomgaard for a hands-on learning experience that brought their Unit of Inquiry, “The Journey from Farm to Table,” to life.

This time, it was PYP 3’s turn to welcome Ms Ilona into our classroom for another inspiring workshop: Healthy Mediterranean Dips!

Students explored fresh ingredients, discovered the importance of healthy food choices, and enjoyed creating delicious Mediterranean-inspired recipes together. A wonderful continuation of our learning journey — and a fun, hands-on way to celebrate and end our school year!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of Primary!

Our PYP7 students took to the stage for a fantastic musical ahead of their graduation ceremony, showcasing their confidence, creativity and teamwork in a memorable performance that perfectly marked the end of their Primary Years Programme journey.

Good luck to all our students as they move on to the Middle Years Programme, and to those leaving ISB for new adventures. We know you'll do great things—we're so proud of you!

We were delighted to celebrate our MYP5 students and all they have achieved throughout the past year and during their time in the Middle Years Programme.

They worked hard, played hard, embraced every opportunity, built lasting friendships and created memories that will stay with them for years to come. As the school year comes to a close, it's time to enjoy a well-deserved summer break before the next exciting chapter begins.

PYP 1, 2, and 3 celebrated International Mud Day with hands-on muddy adventures! From splashing and digging to creating and exploring, our young learners embraced the joy of messy play while developing creativity, teamwork and a deeper connection with nature.

Our MYP5 students took to the stage for a fantastic music performance, showcasing their talent, creativity and confidence. The concert celebrated the hard work and musical growth they have achieved throughout the MYP, giving students the opportunity to share their achievements with family, friends and the wider school community.

Congratulations to all of our performers on an inspiring evening and a memorable end to their MYP journey!

One of the highlights of the academic year for many of our ISB staff is the annual ISB Parent Association Staff Appreciation Lunch.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Parent Association and to every parent who contributed to making this special event possible. Your kindness, generosity and thoughtful gesture mean so much to our staff.

We truly appreciated your token of thanks, but we also want to say that we appreciate you! Thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement and partnership throughout the year. Together, we make our school community a special place.
