Hello, my name is Edgar Pujol and I'm teaching at the violin academy.
Teaching is one of my biggest passions. I always feel that there’s nothing more important than learning. Both violin playing and music, and knowledge in general are, in my mind infinite, therefore all we can do is to keep learning and improving, no matter the level one has. That’s a characteristic that unites everyone, from a beginner to an accomplished artist: learning is process that lasts a lifetime.
Our brains can only learn with motivation. Without a reason, nobody would ever do much, if anything at all. Wanting something is basic and motivation comes also a lot from the teacher, therefore i always try to set a goal agreed with the student and work towards it.
Performing music is one of the most complete disciplines there is. It is partly a sport that requires strength, endurance, coordination and a good mind approach to performing, but more deeply, it is intellectual, emotional, and cultural. It also brings people together and gives a sense of belonging.
Music and the arts, musicians and artists, are a treasure and need to be treated as such, with respect, care, open-mindedness and an endless positive attitude.
Experience with teaching
During my own study at the International Menuhin Academy in Switzerland, I was regularly asked to teach during their summer-academy. Next to my private students I also gave masterclasses in Spain, Argentinia and Portugal.
I'm teaching in English, Spanish, Catalan, French, and Italian (and a little bit in Dutch..... )
