I want a greater feeling of wellbeing ánd perform better.....
Sounds familiar as a thought that keeps coming into your mind also as a successful mompreneur or professional? Without getting that result?
There are 5 common reasons why you might not reach that goal:
1. Work-Life Imbalance
Keeping all those different balls in the air really is a challenge and feels overwhelming for most of us (yes, I am also a mompreneur since 18 years).
That constant juggling often leads to burnout, stress, and a lack of personal time. We do not feel it as stress but as frustration, the feeling of lack of time, a short fuse, bad sleeping, no energy etc.
2. The feeling that there is a lack of support
Many mompreneurs either really lack adequate support systems, such as reliable childcare, family assistance, or a supportive partner or you might féél it that way even though there is support.
Without that needed feeling of support being there, it is challenging to focus on your business or personal health, leading to a lower performance and lack of the feeling of wellbeing.
3. Guilt and Social Pressure
As a mompreneur we often experience the feeling of guilt for either not being fully present with our children (oh yeah, there is a spouse also somewhere) or for not dedicating enough time to our business.
Besides that there is the social pressure that we have to be great in both because we see "many women doing it both with ease". But what do we know what is behind the scenes? When I talk to women, the outside world thinks they do great but they themselves experience it totally different. They feel pressure all the time, causing stress and that negatively impacts both their mental health and business outcomes.
4. Limited Time for Self-Care
Being busy with both entrepreneurship and motherhood, leaves little time for self. Mompreneurs let easily go of physical exercise, healthy eating, and mental relaxation, which are essential for maintaining energy, focus, and overall health.
Just because "there is no time and energy left for that".
5. Financial Strain and Uncertainty
Running a successful business can still put financial strain and the added pressure of providing for a family can increase that stress even more.
This financial pressure (and maybe uncertainty) can lead to anxiety, putting extra pressure on mental health and with that on business decisions, potentially hindering growth and performance.
You can experience either 1 of these factors or a combination of maybe all 5.
However, it creates a challenging environment for mompreneurs, making it difficult to reach both personal wellbeing and optimal business performance.
Which of these 5 do you experience? Let me know in the chat, I am curious to hear. When you are a professional, please answer also because as a working woman you might have all the same challenges.
