🏠 MALTA 🌴- A typical road in Valetta, the capital of Malta. You can walk around it in less than an hour. Nevertheless, Valetta looks impressive, certainly from the water, with its massive fortifications made of honey-colored stone.

🇫🇷 FRANCE 🌿 - The town Cordes-sur-Ciel is perfect for a weekendtrip when doing a language course in Southern France. The town sits literally above the landscape, with endless picturesque cobbled streets and outdoor markets. A beautiful area to explore, particularly on a lovely afternoon (when this photo was taken). 🌳

🍞PASTIZZI 🧀- What street food to eat when in Malta? Pastizzi! What’s this? Pastizzi are made of fluffy pastry formed in specific shapes and stuffed with either ricotta cheese or a paste of peas (piżelli in Maltese). Before McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC came around in Malta in the 1990s, fast food for the Maltese meant walking down to the nearest pastizzeria to grab some super tasty (and greasy) pastizzi. But even now you will find pastizzeria’s with incredibly cheap pastizzi’s on lots of places in Malta.

👸 AMBOISE 🇫🇷- Want to feel like a prince or princess in France? Learn French in Amboise! Royal is the word that perfectly applies to this city and its castles on on the banks of the Loire. Amboise, with its alluring pedestrian streets, used to be the residence of Leonardo da Vinci and king Lodewijk XI. Strolling along the Loire while watching the royal Château d’Amboise is enough to understand why the royal city is extremely attached to the river. 🏰

🇪🇦 CADIZ 🌇 - Did you know that Cádiz has just been included in The New York Times’ list of 52 Places to Go in 2019? And that TripAdvisor last year ranked Cádiz eighth on its list of European Destinations On The Rise for 2018. Cádiz is like the Wild West of southern of Spain. Besides the great food scene the city it has a rich history and wild landscapes that take your breath away, such as the beach in Bolonia or Alcornocales Park. 🌄

🚲 GREEK - Uh, we mean ITALY - 🇮🇹 At first glance Ostuni’s white, flat topped houses perched on a little hill would look more at home on a Greek island. No surprise, cause Ostiuni is located in Puglia in the heel of Italy. Which is basically Greece (except for 72 km). The town has only a population of about 32,000 during the winter, but can swell to 100,000 inhabitants during summer. Nice fact: the region is producer of high quality olive oil and wine. 💫🍷🍈
