This week we have the pleasure to train poultry farmers from Ghana.

The farmers are both layer farmers and broiler farmers.
The training at Aeres Training Centre was organised by the Ghana national association of farmers & fishermen.

In the training we focused on the way the Ghanese farmers can improve their productivity their better knowledge of biosecurity and disease prevention, how data recording can help to analyse and improve the performance of the flock and effective measures to improve housing and climate control on the farm, especially in hot weather conditions.

At Aeres Training Centre we not only do this through theoretical sessions but the participants also experience this on farms. The shared knowledge will immediately contribute to skills and competences of the Ghana poultry farmers.
We wish the Ghana poultry farmers success in the implementation of the knowledge and skills back home.

𝗩𝗔𝗩 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗱
Aeres Training Centre has received materials from VAV Conveyor Components and Solutions in Katwijk to upgrade one of the elevators in our feed mill.

During a recent training programme for technical specialists in Barneveld, our participants and technical experts assessed the condition of this elevator, which has been in use for more than 45 years. It became clear that several components needed replacement to ensure the installation is ready for the future.

Based on this assessment, VAV put together a complete materials package and decided to donate these parts to us. This highly appreciated gesture directly enhances our practical facilities and strengthens the quality of our vocational training for the feed industry.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to VAV for their involvement, support, and contribution to our mission to continuously improve practice-based learning.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲; 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱

At Aeres Training Centre International, we have had the privilege of training many international groups in practical poultry and pig production. Recently, we welcomed several groups from Ghana as part of the Feed Ghana Agenda for Economic Transformation.

These three-day programmes focused on essential topics such as biosecurity, disease prevention, hot weather management, and record keeping. All aimed at improving flock and herd performance and supporting more efficient and resilient production systems.

Our approach combines theory and hands-on practice, helping farmers, managers and technicians translate knowledge directly into better farm results. While improving productivity contributes to food security, our main goal remains to empower professionals with practical solutions that make a lasting difference.

We look forward to continuing these collaborations, in Ghana and across the globe, to strengthen livestock and feed production together.

This week we welcomed a dedicated team from Clarence Poultry Farms (Ghana) for a three-day practical training.

The group, consisting of farm managers, technicians and poultry house staff, participated in a compact and hands-on programme covering:
• Biosecurity
• Drinking water quality for poultry
• Hot weather management
• Poultry nutrition

The training combined classroom sessions with practical exercises, helping participants strengthen their technical skills and management insight to improve egg production on their farms.

It was a pleasure working with this motivated group, and we hope this marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration.
Better poultry management not only supports farm productivity, but also contributes to greater food availability in Ghana.

We are proud to contribute to this important initiative that strengthens skills and career opportunities in Bangladesh’s poultry sector.
We look forward to sharing expertise and supporting the next generation of poultry professionals.

PoultryTechBangladesh (PTB) has signed an MoU with the Department of Youth Development (DYD) to strengthen skills and career opportunities in Bangladesh’s poultry sector. In collaboration with Aeres Training Centre International Training Centre International from the Netherlands, the program will enhance curriculum design, train DYD instructors, and provide practical learning for students.

The initiative targets training 300,000 youths with modern poultry management skills, fostering employability, entrepreneurship, and a more sustainable agro value chain while deepening Bangladesh–Netherlands collaboration.

PoultryTechBangladesh, a five-year project supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh and jointly coordinated by Larive International and LightCastle Partners, aims to strengthen business relations between stakeholders in the Dutch and Bangladeshi poultry value chain to develop a more competitive and sustainable poultry sector in Bangladesh.

This week we were pleased to welcome a delegation from Ghana, visiting us through Nutrivice, for an intensive training programme in poultry production.

The programme combined classroom knowledge with hands-on practice, covering key topics such as:
• Nutrition and feeding
• 1st class brooding and rearing
• Housing & equipment
• Poultry production in hot climates
• Biosecurity measures
• Recording and analysis

The group also had the opportunity to visit a broiler farm, where they could directly connect theory with real-life practice.

At Aeres Training Centre International, we strongly believe in learning by doing. Sharing knowledge is most effective when participants can immediately see how principles translate into daily work on the farm.
