Support for Students and Colleagues from the Middle East

The attacks on Iran in recent days have resulted in many casualties, people fleeing their homes, and an unpredictable course of events. Tensions and unrest have also increased in other countries in the Middle East.

This is a terrible situation that directly or indirectly affects a number of our students and staff members. Do you have family or acquaintances living in the affected areas, and are you worried about them or in need of someone to talk to? The HAN is here to support you.

As a student, you can contact your own student counselor/coach, as well as the student psychologists, confidential advisors, the International Office, the student chaplaincy (also for Muslim students), the Arnhem Student Point, or the Muslim Student Association (MSV) in Nijmegen.

As a staff member, you can reach out to your supervisor, team coordinator, colleagues, or one of the confidential advisors.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected.

Kind regards,
Executive Board
Rob Verhofstad, Yvonne de Haan and Aly Smelt
