With this lovely weather we've been having, the children have been helping to care for our garden and planting new flowers!

From snow to spring! It was nice for the children to have some snow the other week but we are all happy to see the sun and start with spring🐣🌼

Transport has been such a fun theme though we realised we forgot a very popular form of Dutch transport: cycling! So this week the children practiced some fine motor skills with cutting, sticking, and painting their own cupcake liner bicycles 🚲

We have been busy the last month with transport: making cars, our own zebra crossings, teaching the children about road safety, and ending our week with making boats⛵ Transport has definitely been a popular theme!

This week with transport we have been making our own train for the classroom. We have cut out the windows so we can put photos of the children in there!😊
The children have also been playing with the vehicles on the carpet and seeing the different indentations the wheels make 🚖🚎

Now everyone is back from their holidays and we are all settled in again, we have started a new theme: transport!
Last week the children made some paintings using cars (and a few hands🙈). They enjoyed seeing the different tyre tracks the cars made in the paint🚙

We are now shut for Christmas (2 weeks). We wish everyone happy holidays and we will see you all in 2022! 🎆

We have spent the lead up to Christmas making some christmas trees! The children helped to paint some big sheets of paper green with different rollers and then we were able to use these to decorate our classroom. We also wanted the children to be able to take their own trees home, so we made some out of pine cones!🎄

This week we started our Christmas/Winter theme, so we decided to make some icy blue coloured play dough! It's been very popular so far❄

Our toadstools are finished! This was a great group activity and they had so much fun doing it🍄

Last week we collected lots of leaves with the children for them to paint. We then made autumn prints with them which they loved! Now every morning when they hang their coats up they can see their beautiful leaf prints🍂

We have been helping some of our older children get ready for primary school by choosing more difficult activities to help challenge and focus them.
We have also been making pumpkins with all the children for our autumn window. It looks so cute!🎃
