You learn to make beautiful wax pieces that you can cast in metal. But more importantly, each month you learn new skills and techniques to improve your jewellery making.

When I want to check if something is symmetrical, I like to hold it in my calipers. ⁠
⁠
The calipers make the area to focus on very small and that makes it easier to see if my curve is symmetrical or not.

You can take the faceted gemstone setting class now and learn techniques like carving a setting for faceted stones, incorporating stones in a 3d design, and different ways of finishing the outside of your setting!

Since ring sizers are tapered, you want to size a ring from both directions. If not you end up with a ring that's a different size throughout!

It's not very noticeable on thin rings, but the wider you go the more noticeable it becomes.

So flip your ring over and size from both directions to get the same ring size through the entire ring!

Any big shape can be broken down into smaller and easier shapes!
