Alaroye - Cuban & Latin Dance Academy

Registration is open for our upcoming 3-week Afro-Cuban Intensive, starting this Wednesday, June 10.

Join us for two hours of dedicated training each week, fully accompanied by live percussion.

⭐️Afro-Cuban + Timba Intensive.

This is a complete 3rd-hour experience. The first two hours focus on pure Afro Cuban.

Then, in the final hour, Timba con Afro (Theory + Practice) We’ll study many different songs, training our ears to hear specific rhythms, cantos, and cues that invite you to dance Afro-Cuban in Timba.

Schedule:
⏰ 18:30 - 20:30 (2h): Afro-Cuban
⏰ 20:30 - 21:30 (1h): Timba con Afro (Theory + Practice)

The Weekly Plan:
🌟 W1 (Apr 22): Generic Rhythms (Ñongo, Iyesa, Chachalokafun for Multiple Orishas)
🌟 W2 (Apr 29): Chachalokafun (Cont.) & Babalú Ayé (Arará)
🌟 W3 (May 6): Palo & Makuta

Since this is a late announcement, I’ve set the price at the lowest reduced rate for everyone (no early bird needed).

🟠 Timba Musicality (Solo): 20:30–22:00 (1.5 hrs)

In Afro-Cuban (Mar–Apr) we will focus on:
– 2 weeks · Changó
– 2 weeks · Oyá
– 2 weeks · Yemayá

Each class includes 1 hour of Afro-Cuban technique & conditioning before we move into choreography and combinations.

🟠 Rumba Guaguancó / Yambú: 19:30–21:00 (1.5 hrs)
🟠 Salsa con Rumba (Solo): 21:00–22:00 (1 hr)
